Put just over 1000 miles on this new set. The reviews are legit. Whatever I said in my initial posts holds true and now I have had the chance to test it out in all conditions

This tire is excellent! grips like crazy in dry, cold wet conditions no problem. I replicated the same conditions on the same exact streets that my old shitty Hankook Ventus Noble S1s that only lasted 15,000 miles will slip incessantly and trigger the traction control. This one, no fuss no drama. 30F, wet roads, Floor it into a turn from a stop and it delivers no loss of traction. It hardly snows here here in the South but I have read it’s decent in light snow. Braking is excellent, road noise is about the same and it’s definitely much stiffer and harder when it hits potholes but I will take it in view of better handling.

Of course it is a new tire so let’s see how it does at 30,000 miles. Nevertheless, best set of tires I have ever owned and I highly recommend these for UHP All season needs.

I’ve had several sets of these on the Sportwagen and the FXT before that. They are great tires. The performance drops off like a stone with cold weather and snow...but that’s a reasonable expectation. I ran these year round in Utah with the FXT. They got me everywhere I needed to go safely.

down to upper 20s only so far but they have been great. Snow is not a concern here and neither are single digits which are hit rarely. Cold, Rain performance is my key consideration.

Also, the AS3 + is much improved from the AS3

cold and wet was fine, it was mostly cold and snow that was an issue.  I had them on the sportwagen and they really struggled to get up hills.  They never left my wife stranded, but it was never fun that first snowstorm before the winters went on.

Installed these tires on the 4 corners of my Panamera just before the snow season here in MN. They’re n ot winter tires by any stretch but they take me where I need to go. Great traction on any other condition, handling is superb. Quite noisy though.

I’ve had noisier ones, Runflats being the worst but even otherwise. They’re getting better with road noise with each new generation but I don’t want to lose handling and grip for a few dB. lower level HP All seasons appear to be quieter than UHP All seasons based on reviews . Maybe I will go for a quieter all season If I still have my car in 5 years, as my preferences might change.

It’s nice to hear that the hype is real. I almost went with these when I bought new tires for my car last year.   I ended up getting the BFGoodrich G-Force COMP-2 A/S instead, because they had a deal on them that was just too good to pass up and most reviews compared them pretty evenly with the Pilot Sport A/ S3+’s.

So far I am very happy with the BFGs , especially with the wet traction which is probably better than the dry traction was with my old tires. I haven’t had the chance to try them in the sn ow yet, but I have no doubt that they are going to be better than my crappy old tires which left my car stuck at the end of my own driveway last year...

It was a very close choice between this and the BF Goodrich and I spend many hours researching both, and they’re easily $20 cheaper per tire. But Sam’s Club had a killer Black Friday deal plus feel installation and lifetime balance/rotation and I snapped it up. Think Costco had something similar around xm as as well. Plus I have always heard so many good things about the Michelin Pilots but never had a chance to own them so this was the perfect opportunity.
Continental Extreme contact dws 06 was also in the list but very expensive everywhere even with rebates

I’ve had these tires for ~4k miles and they are good.

They’re grippy in summer and in pouring rain. I’ve driven a couple of times in freezing weather, but have never had to brake hard so I’m not sure how good they are. But I’ve never felt a loss of grip so far.

The only time I’ve truly used all the grips - I had to do an evasive manouvre to avoid a car turning left into the intersection as I entered it too. I braked, swerved to avoid the car a nd powered out of that intersection unscathed. It all happened so fast and scared me shitless. I didn’t even have a chance to go code brown lol

I got a set of these this fall, and I am very impressed. A vast improvement over the Michelin Premier A/S which were on the car (and are similarly expensive). I was shocked at the difference, and it makes me think I’ll need to budget for swapping out tires right away on any future car purchases, unless what’s on their is already really good.

I’ve had my Sport A/S 3+ tires on for about 50 00 miles and do not regret my choice.

I was told by the dealer two weeks ago   that they are now at 8/32s, which surprised me, but I only just now realized that I was forgetting how long ago I put them on (feels like yesterday, even though I had them put on before the Tail of the Dragon Oppomeet ) .

I do drive hard and make use of the grip in tight corners as much as possible, so maybe I’m really wearing them down that much, or maybe the dealer is inaccurate I guess that they are holding up pretty well actually.

Single biggest way to improve ride and handling with the right combo . T ires really do transform t he car.

I have seen lot of used cars come with shitty Chinese/American tires on them, cheap ass dealers . I rather swap them out and sell them on Craigslist and get good ones.

I stick to Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental

I was in the same boat, and I probably spent way too much time researching different tires. Not to mention I’ve always heard great things about the Pilot Sport AS3's and really wanted a set, but a t th e time Costco had a sale going for the BFGs, and the savings were pretty significant. So that, along with the favorable reviews was enough to sway me into getting the BFGs instead. And honestly I don’t regret it at all. Even if the Michelins are a bit better, these are already so good that the real world difference between the two of them is probably negligible, especially when compared to the crappy  tires I had before.

These and DWS06's are the only tires I recommend. Prices seem to fluctuate a little. Basically I tell people to get whichever one is cheaper. DWS is better in snow but AS3 is more performance oriented.
